Latin American Ensemble
NEW FALL 2022!
The Latin American Ensemble (LAE) is an Illinois credit-bearing course, brought to you by the University of Illinois School of Music and the Center for Latin American and Caribbean Studies (CLACS). This ensemble begins in Fall 2022 and will be directed by Dr. Guido Sanchez Portuguez, UIUC Professor of Guitar.
Guitar Ensemble
The Guitar Ensemble is a group that builds on a long-standing tradition of guitar combinations, performing arrangements of classical and popular pieces, as well as original pieces written specifically for the group. Divided into three, four, five, or more parts, the ensemble expands the possibilities of the instrument to create an orchestra-like soundscape, quite unique in its nature.
